Frontline workers are leaving the child protection sector in droves because of lack of support and feeling defeated by the volume and nature of cases.
Liana Buchanan, Victoria’s Principal Commissioner for Children and Young People, says that it is a common problem and that the system is ‘not fit for purpose’.
